  • Copyediting-L: discussions of editing in all its various forms. To subscribe, send the message "subscribe copyediting-L Your name" (with no quotes, and with your actual name instead of "Your name") to Listserv@listserv.indiana.edu
  • Techwr-L: discussions of the tools and travails of the technical writer. To subscribe, send the message "subscribe techwr-L Your name" (with no quotes, and with your actual name instead of "Your name") to Lyris@lists.raycomm.com
  • XML mailing list: Join a list that brings together XML users with XML-tool developers. To subscribe to the list, send a blank e-mail message to: xml-doc-subscribe@egroups.com. You can also subscribe at the XML-DOC web site.
  • Allegro Time! is a FREE ezine about indexing for technical communicators. Written by Fred Brown, of Allegro Technical Indexing in Ottawa, Canada, the ezine addresses print manuals, online help, single-source publishing, multimedia and the Internet.

Online Meeting Room: The Region 1 Chapter has added an online meeting room to their Web site. This room can be used for STC-related planning activities. All text entered during a session is automatically recorded, and a copy of a session log can be sent upon request. To use the room, go to http://www.stcregion.org/cgi-bin/bluechat/bluechat.pl and log in. Please send comments/questions to Rich Feitelberg, Region 1 webmaster, at webmaster@stc-boston.org.
